Morrows’ Laurel Moulynox Named Among Barron’s Top 150 Financial Advisers for 2025

Morrows is proud to announce that Managing Director, Laurel Moulynox, has once again been recognised in the Barron’s Top 150 Financial Advisers list for 2025, placing 56th nationally.

This recognition reflects Laurel’s decades of commitment to guiding individuals, families, and business owners through complex financial decisions with clarity and confidence. It also highlights the strength of the Morrows Private Wealth team and our long-standing focus on delivering advice that supports every stage of life.

While women remain significantly under-represented in the financial advice profession, accounting for only a small proportion (14%) of advisers recognised on this year’s Barron’s list, the need for experienced female advisers has never been more critical. With women expected to inherit a substantial share of Australia’s intergenerational wealth transfer over the coming decades, trusted guidance delivered with empathy and understanding is essential.

Laurel’s approach is shaped and influenced by the real challenges facing Australians today. Speaking recently with The Australian about retirement planning, she shared that “many people simply start too late, even small additional contributions in earlier working years can make a considerable difference. Retirement funds need time to build – so you can take full advantage of the power of compound interest”.

Laurel has also noticed a growing number of families seeking advice on how to support younger generations effectively. Assisting with property purchases, education, and financial stability has become a common focus for our clients. Laurel encourages many of the clients she works with to have open discussions when everyone is healthy, present, and able to participate, ensuring that children and spouses understand the family’s wealth, values, and where to turn for advice. These intergenerational meetings often create clarity, reduce uncertainty, and build confidence for the next generation.

As one of the few women consistently recognised at a national level, Laurel remains passionate about encouraging more women to build careers in financial advice. Wealth and financial advisory is a relationship-driven profession that blends empathy with financial and technical expertise. As more women take on the responsibility of managing family wealth in the years ahead, having trusted advisers who understand their experiences and priorities will be critical.

Reflecting on this recent recognition, Laurel said:

“This achievement is not a personal one. I could not do my role or support our clients without the dedication and expertise of my team. I am incredibly proud of what we have built here at Morrows Private Wealth. Together with our Chief Investment Officer, Chris Molloy and the rest of the MPW team, we have developed a powerful diversified investment approach designed to support long-term, risk-adjusted growth for our clients.”

Laurel’s recognition reaffirms our ongoing commitment to providing thoughtful, personalised, values-based advice that supports clients across generations. We congratulate her on this well-deserved achievement and thank our clients for their continued trust in Morrows.
