Changes to Medical Powers of Attorney
New laws within the Victorian Medical Treatment Planning and Decisions Act 2016 have been put into effect as of 12 March 2018, replacing the previous laws concerning medical treatment decisions.

Put Delinquent SMSFs in the “Too Hard” Basket at Your Peril
Cleaning up the 40, 000 SMSFs that have failed to lodge annual returns could be a challenging task for the ATO and even more challenging for your adviser.
Simply putting delinquent funds into the “too hard” basket only compounds difficulties and could potentially expose advisers and their clients to penalty.
Clearly 40,000 SMSFs is a sizeable number that needs to be addressed.
