Mortgage Broker Assistant / Lending Assistant

You will provide lending support and will be part of the total lending function on a permanent part time basis. We envisage the role to be 15-20 hours per week initially, with the view to increasing hours to full time as the business grows. Days and hours are flexible, ideally with a spread across the week.

With recent business growth, you will be kept busy in this varied role and will be responsible for:

  • Assisting and providing general day to day administration support to team members
  • Be a point of contact for loan enquiries both online and over the phone
  • Provide lending support as required including assisting clients, gathering renewal information, application process and management and lender/provider follow ups
  • Assist with lending packages and loan applications
  • Communicate with clients updating them on process
  • Checking loan and compliance documents to ensure completion / all is in order
  • Be able to manage multiple applications at the same time and meet client expectations
  • Communicate and liaise with internal divisions of the business (internal clients)

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • A minimum of 1 – 2 years proven experience in the banking or mortgage broking industry
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in
  • Excel and the whole MS Office suite
  • Have a high standard of customer service
  • Strong attention to detail and high accuracy
  • A great team player who is enthusiastic, positive and willing to get in there an ‘get the job done’
  • A ‘go getter’ that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment who can meet tight deadlines and can perform well under pressure
