Professional Background:
Murray Coulthard is a recognised expert within the superannuation industry with over 35 years experience. Prior to joining Morrows Murray Coulthard was in charge of the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority's (APRA) rehabilitation and enforcement functions in the South-West Region of Australia.
For six years as Director of Audit, Murray Coulthard was responsible for managing APRA and ISC teams undertaking the prudential reviews of superannuation entities in Victoria and Tasmania.
Clients value his ability to accurately determine how to address and rectify superannuation fund deficiencies. He has had a wealth of experience in applying enforcement standards having been involved with the majority of instances where enforcement action was taken by APRA or the ISC in Victoria. He also had responsibility for managing the Consultancy and Technical Services functions.
Murray Coulthard has been a regular presenter at industry seminars on superannuation issues. He has presented at seminars conducted by CPA Australia, Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries and the Taxation Institute of Australia. He also has contributed to professional journals.
