Professional Background:
Colin’s experience in the investment industry is highlighted by an illustrious career with BHP Billiton which culminated in Colin managing BHP’s $4 billion superannuation fund from 1993-2002. He was responsible for all investment management, administration and trustee servicing for the fund. Overall, Colin spent 37 years at BHP in financial and accounting roles during which he provided advice to senior management and the board on a number of funds spread across BHP’s global empire.
Colin’s extensive experience in the industry and positive, astute nature lead to his appointment to prestigious positions and numerous awards. He was elected President of the Victorian division of the CPA Australia. He has received a Charles Holmes Medal and President’s award for contribution to the accounting profession, and spent nine years with the CPA Superannuation Centre of Excellence, influencing many superannuation initiatives.

He works closely with advisors from Morrows to help clients choose the right investment strategies to structure their investments for maximum growth. In addition to helping tailor solutions for individuals, he works with the Morrows superannuation team to continuously improve the investment strategies and processes of the company.
Colin is currently a trustee director of the Connect Superannuation Fund – a $500 million fund for employees of electrical contractors in Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia and also serves as Chairman of the Big Sky Credit Union, a $350 million organisation that provides a range of financial services to employees of BHP Billiton, Bluescope Steel, the BP group of companies and other national corporations.
